Welcome to Notes, my biweekly round-up of the books on my nightstand, the outfits I’m styling, musings from my journal, and snippets of my adventures around the city.
In book news, I’m still reading OATHBOUND! I have been reading it for a while now, but I’ve been taking my time and taking detailed notes as I read. Future me is going to be so happy that I’ll have my notes for reference to refresh my memory before the fourth book comes out!
I don’t want to say too much because spoilers, but I will say that I’m really enjoying the reading experience as a whole. I’ve been reading it in bits and pieces, which is part of why it’s taking me so long, but I’m hoping to dedicate a chunk of time to finishing the last hundred pages this week. I want to finish it, but part of me is a little scared, because what is Tracy Deonn going to do to me in these last hundred pages?? 😅

I’ve definitely got spring on the brain when it comes to my outfits. The only problem is that the weather hasn’t really been springy yet, but I’m still trying to make it work. I pulled this Sezane floral cardigan out of hibernation and it’s perfect for this transitional period when I want to wear spring looks, but the weather is still chilly.
I’ll be making the seasonal wardrobe switchover soon and I already know that I need to do a bit of shopping. I’m in the market for new jeans (pray for me because I think jeans shopping is the worst) as well as some cute spring shoes. A few things I have my eye on at the moment: this pretty American Eagle midi dress, these girly floral Keds, this little white dress from LOFT, and this Sezane basket bag that’s been on my wish list since last year.
I had my second NYC Craft Club event recently and it was so much fun! I was thrilled that we sold out the event and we has such a great group of people.
I loved putting together the goodie bags for each attendee (check out this video for a BTS look). I also got to work with some amazing small businesses/sponsors who provided the cutest stickers for the goodie bags. If you’re into stationery, you should definitely check out their shops below!
We also had so much fun playing around with a photobooth provided by HP! Printed pictures + journal girlies = a match made in heaven 😍
I love hosting these craft club events and it truly warms my heart to get to hang with other crafty people!
I’m already starting to think about the next event and if you know about a space that you think would be good for this type of event, let me know in the comments! Also, if you have or know of a small business that carries stationery or other crafty items and who would be interested in sponsoring an upcoming event, leave a comment below or send me an email!
I had a jam-packed day this past Saturday! I grabbed brunch with a friend and it was really great to catch up with her. Then I took the train up to Union Square to meet up with some other friends for a content day. We bopped around from a café to a bookstore and it’s always fun to create with other content creators. I grabbed dinner with one of those friends, then took the train back to Brooklyn for a party at another friend’s house.
I didn’t get home until after midnight and that was a very eventful day for an introvert like me! It was so fun and I can’t wait until the weather is proper warm as that will only enhance social weekends like this one.
And that’s a wrap on this week’s report! I’d love to hear how your month is going so far in the comments! What have you been up to the past couple weeks?
Hoping to make the next craft club! Also - maybe Analog on Vanderbilt may be interested in hosting, new stationary shop in Prospect Heights.
Living vicariously through your craft clubs!! They look so fun!
