Welcome to Notes, my biweekly round-up of the books on my nightstand, the outfits I’m styling, musings from my journal, and snippets of my adventures around the city.
Let’s talk a bit about reading habits! I suppose I’m feeling a bit reflective since Q1 is over and I noticed that I’ve been reading a bit less than usual over the last few months.
I think part of that is due to the regular busyness of life (trying to balance work, being active, reading, socializing, content creation, journaling, and more), and the other part of it might be due to starting a new venture earlier this year (NYC Craft Club).
And it’s totally ok that I’m reading a bit less than usual! I know that there are always ebbs and flows in my reading life, which is completely natural.
I am excited about Q2 though. I feel like there are lots of great books coming out in May and I’m already looking forward to summer reading season.
Speaking of anticipated releases, the way I squealed when this showed up in my mail!!
CAN’T GET ENOUGH is definitely on my April TBR, as well as a few other romance reads! Check out my full April TBR list below:
CAN’T GET ENOUGH* by Kennedy Ryan: I love this series so much and I’ve been so excited for Hendrix’s story! I’m really looking forward to reading about a FMC that’s childfree by choice and seeing how Kennedy discusses that topic.
ONE GOLDEN SUMMER* by Carley Fortune: Carley’s books always transport me somewhere and I love that feeling! So excited for this follow-up to EVERY SUMMER AFTER. I might save it for the very end of the month when I may or not be going on a trip?!
THIS COULD BE FOREVER* by Ebony LaDelle: Ebony’s previous book, LOVE RADIO, is one of the best YA romance books I’ve ever read, so I am absolutely seated for her next book!
HOT AIR by Marcy Dermansky: This is my book club’s pick for April and I’ve heard good things about this author’s writing. The premise sounds a little unhinged, so I’m excited to see if it’s the type of weird that I enjoy.
*Gifted by the publisher. All opinions are my own.
Oh and in other book news, catch me in Glamour recommending some books that I think would make great book club picks!

My latest Nuuly came in and I am so happy with my picks. And I did something very brave- I rented some jeans from Nuuly!
You already know that I’m on the hunt for new jeans. I’ve also been wanting to try out some Agolde jeans and renting them sounded like a great option since their jeans are pricy. I got the Ren High-Rise Wide-Leg jeans and they fit me surprisingly well?!
I ordered a bunch of other jeans from Old Navy, J.Crew Factory, and H&M, so we’ll see how those all stack up against each other once I try them on. I love that with Nuuly you can buy a piece at a discounted price if you really like it, so don’t be surprised if these Agolde jeans end up with a permanent spot in my wardrobe.
I’m such a Nuuly evangelist- I think it’s a fun way to keep your wardrobe interesting! If you’ve been thinking about trying it out, using my link here will get you $30 off your first month!
I’m proud of myself for being pretty good at keeping up with my journal in March. My favorite spread was this one I did based on a prompt from Martina Calvi to use spots and/or stripes. I ended up using both!
This journal spread was about a really fun Saturday I had in the city when I met up with a friend for brunch at Grey Dog, met up with some other friends at Irving Farm, and had dinner at a French restaurant called L’Express. It was so fun to keep all the “junk” from the day and I love how this spread turned out!
Life lately has been on the quieter side and I’m not mad about it at all. I feel January - March were actually pretty busy, so it’s nice that April is off to a bit of a slower start.
A couple weekends ago, I finally made it to Haricot Vert in Williamsburg and it was so dreamy. The store includes a selection of fun crafty supplies plus lots of unique charms that you can use to create various things. They also have a café + a space upstairs where they host crafting sessions and workshops.
It’s such a lovely space and I definitely want to go back sometime soon for one of their craft workshops!
Tell me what’s been going on with you! Have you read any good books lately? Do you have any exciting spring plans? Let me know in the comments!
Excited for Can’t Get Enough and One Golden Summer!
